In order to allot a Gift Certificate to a friend you need to first purchase a Gift Certificate. To do this go to the " Purchase a Certificate " page.

Once you have purchased your Gift Cetificate, you will receive an email confirmation on the purchase along with an Order Number. The Gift Certificate you just purchased will now be visible in your "Allot a Certificate" page.

You can now select the desired Gift Certificate by checking the "Allot" check box in the "Allot a Certificate" page.
Next click on "Allot a Certificate" . You will now be asked to enter the email ID of your friend, to whom you wish to allot this certificate, along with a small message.

Once your done entering the email ID, click on the "Allot Certificate" button.
The Gift Certificate will be emailed to your friend.

How do I know if my friend has received the Gift Certificate I sent to him ?
When you send a Gift Certificate to a friend it is sent to his email ID with an activation code.

If your friend activates the Certificate you sent to him, it gets added to his My Certificate section in the My Account section of the site.
